The Family Handyman Magazine

The October 2006 issue titled Tame Your Clutter!  features the article, Organize your closet!  in which Kim was the Consultant.  The article takes a standard closet with single shelf and rod and redesigns it to maximize its potential for storage.  It's a hands-on handyman article which gives you step-by-step instructions on how to build a beautiful closet system all on your own.

The Mission: Organization

In 2005 Kim filmed an episode of the popular TV show, Mission Organization.  The episode features a fun-loving, young couple who want to 'conquer'  their family room and turn it into an area they can relax and entertain in.   But, what to do with the laundry, the beautiful old organ given to them by Grandma, 1,000 CD's, the exercise equipment and the old 'college days' furniture?

The show (episode #706) aired July 2005 and will run throughout the season.  You can see more details by going to the HGTV website and choosing the TV show: Mission Organization.  www.HGTV.com

The episode features Hope Chest for Breast Cancer in Navarre, MN.  They pick up the beloved organ as a donation.  This is a key connection with Jason's Grandmother who is a breast cancer survivor.  Knowing the organ's proceeds will go towards finding a cure for cancer makes the decision to release it perfect.  Check out their web site for more details of how you too can participate. www.hopechest.com

B Organized wants to say a BIG thank you to Leather Trend for donating the  beautiful leather furniture.  The loveseat and storage ottoman become the cornerstone pieces in the room!  Take a look at their web site to find pieces for your home and/or office:

TIP for YOU from the show:  When sorting your music CD's, gather like genre together and label each category.  That way, when CD's are returned to the shelf they will go back to where they came from and your system will stay organized for a long time!
